Samhita Basavanahalli, Founder of FirstFold Capital

FirstFold Capital is founded and led by Samhita Basavanahalli. Prior to establishing the firm, Samhita spent over a decade in the United States, graduating with degrees in Computational Modeling, Data Analytics, and Computer Science from Virginia Tech, followed by a tenure building quantitative data infrastructure as a Data Engineer. She subsequently transitioned into institutional and capital markets finance in India, leading foreign portfolio investor (FPI) market development and advising on complex multi-million-dollar cross-border transactions.

FirstFold Capital grew directly out of that background: pairing algorithmic discipline and structured systems thinking with deep access to institutional capital networks across the India-US corridor. The firm brings institutional rigor to private M&A structuring, specialized corporate restructurings, and cross-border capital mandates, delivering decisive execution and speed to close.
